About LAG

Linmeyer Awareness Group is a Non-profit company, and the members are residents of Linmeyer and Oakdene. LAG is mandated to promote better security, municipal services and good neighbourliness.

LAG is made up of volunteers and funded by residents.

The Linmeyer Awareness Group was started in 2010 when a few residents got together to talk about the escalating crime and deteriorating services seen in the suburb and surrounding area. It was clear that we as residents had to stand together and make a difference and proceeded to set out a  plan for the community. After numerous meetings with our residents a plan was adopted and we started on our long journey of improving our suburb, the first project we embarked on was security which involved plans to apply for a closure. The second project was to improve the parks and security bordering the Greenbelt areas around the suburb.

In 2014 The LINMEYER AWARENESS GROUP NPC was registered to formalise all of these plans.
